"Pay-yuhs? Pay-yuhs?"

For the last week or so I have been saying prayers with Malachi before he goes to bed, honestly I didn't really think he thought too much about it. So last night I went to put him down, and I forgot about prayers, I just put in bed and said "Night night" and covered him with his blankets. Then he started saying "pay-uhs, pay-uhs?" I had no idea what he was talking about, I thought maybe he was asking for a pillow, which would be weird because he has never had pillow, then I realized he was asking about prayers. He remembered and I didn't, so amazing! It's amazing how even a little 18 month old feels the power of prayer. I loved it!

I was totally thinking about that the other day. How babies/toddlers could want to pray but not have the words or ability to do it on their own. It really puts the responsibility on us as their parents. That's super cute that he's already reminding you not to forget.

Oh my gosh Aubri, I love that little story! You are such a good mom! Malachi is so lucky to have you.
