Last Thursday we decided to go to the zoo, they just these amazing giraffes and I wanted to see them before we left. So off we went. Malachi loved it, the first thing we saw were the monkeys, he kept waving at them and saying "Hi monkey," so cute. Then we went to the giraffes, they were worth the trip, they're still babies but pretty amazing.
Next were the lions, this one was sitting right by the glass, Malachi's not scared. He kept calling them kitties. There was an obnoxios little boy there with his class from school who kept teasing the lion and the lion actually swatted at him, it was pretty cool, good thing there is glass there or that kid would have been lunch.
After wandering around for a while we went to giraffe slide, Malachi scooted right up to the edge but then just sat there and smiled, fine with me, but the other kids weren't too happy about it, so the nice gentleman up there standing behind him gave him a little nudge and down he came! He didn't know whether to be excited or scared out his mind, but afterward he wanted to go down again so no permanent damage done.
Malachi petting a komodo (sp?) dragon, just kidding, it's not real. He really liked it though, he kept petting it like it was a dog or something.
Check out those ears! He thought they were pretty funny.
