We were outside one morning, because morning or late evening is the ONLY time we can go outside, and Malachi found this snail, the little guy is in there, probably scared out of it's wits. I don't know what the little guy was doing in our yard, I don't imagine snails are really common in this 109 degree heat! It was pretty cool, Malachi called it his seashell.
Malachi got this sweet Ratfink shirt from his Papa! As soon as I pulled it out of the box Malachi wanted to put it on. Then he slept in it last night. I know the Ratfink is a little creepy, but he reminds us Papa Joe, so we look past the creepiness!Malachi, wearing one of his Daddy's work hats. Doesn't he look tough! It makes me chuckle.
That's it for the pictures for now. I know some people who needed a Malachi fix. We're doing great, still getting things in order, trying figure where I want things and figuring out where to store what, it's a little tricky when there is only one closet per bedroom, and kitchen cabinets, I miss coat closets and linen closets! We might have to invest in some dressers. Andrew is doing great at work, he's working 10 hour days for the next while, so he leaves at 6:15 am and is home around 5:00pm, he's a trooper. He has been Mr. FixIt! He fixed the sprinklers, changed the doorknobs and dead bolts, put several pieces of our furniture back together (I had fun taking them apart, I don't know if he would say the same), fixed the pipe that goes into the washer (that was a mess!), and things I'm sure I'm forgetting, he is a champion! We are so glad to have him back!
Malachi has been having a good time, we went to the pool a couple nights ago, I think that will be a regular thing! It was heavenly! Malachi put his face in the water without any prompting, as a swimmer that makes me so happy! So we taught him how blow bubbles and he loved it! Then last night we went to the park, he went down the slides and climbed the ladders all by himself, i can't believe how big he is! So, side note about the park- there is a little walking path that goes around the park, and around 8:00pm lots of people started showing to go for an evening stroll, nothing strange about that. But then I start looking at what some of these women are wearing, here I am ready to strip down to my skivvies and not even care and they are in sweatfits! That's right, hoodies and sweat pants, seriously?! I couldn't believe it. And with that I'm off, another BIG day in Texas!

Sounds like you are doing well! That's good to hear. Maybe there is hope for me. Malachi is so cute! He is getting big. Good to hear that things are going well. Don't strip down to skivvies though...scandalous!
Thanks for the pictures! The kids enjoyed them! Can't wait to see the house!
Wow, Malachi is even cuter than he was before! I didn't think that was possible. I'm glad you guys are getting settled in and having a good time together. Being apart is hard, but it makes you appreciate every moment you're together a little more.
